Congratulations to 3L Zafir Huq, who has accepted an elite Post Bar Clerkship with the San Diego Office of the Primary Public Defender. The Post-Bar Clerkship is a limited position offered to accepted candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to public service and indigent defense. The program places post-bar clerks in the Public Defender's Misdemeanor Unit, requiring them to mirror schedules, take on caseloads, and advocate in court for clients. While there, post-bar clerks are put through various programs designed to improve their ability to work in the fast-paced environment of the Public Defender’s office. Zafir will begin his clerkship after he takes the February 2020 California Bar Examination.
