Professor Allison Madwatkins started her career in New York at the boutique law firm of Cohn & Roth until a corporate client insisted she come work directly for them in California.  She has been on the West Coast ever since. Over the years she has continued to work in both the firm and corporate setting practicing, banking, default servicing, residential and commercial real estate, bankruptcy, corporate, and contract law.  Her specialty is putting the unquantifiable into auditable corporate policy and procedures.

Allison received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English with a Concentration in Theater from York College of Pennsylvania, and worked in film and theater until attending Hofstra University School of Law where she received a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) with Concentrations in both Securities and Consumer Law, and Tax Law.  

Allison also has a commitment to public service; she earned the Public Service Certificate Award from Hofstra for work at their Securities Arbitration Clinic while a student. Over the years she has volunteered for the New York LGBT Bar Association and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Project.
